A. Yes. You can book a One-Way car rental. Please use our Booking/Enquiry Form (link) and we'll confirm you a rate.

Q. Do you have a rental car location at Auckland Airport?

A. Yes. We have 2 rental car depot locations in Auckland. One is located 10 minutes from Auckland Airport.

Q. Do you provide courtesy coach transfers to the airport?

A. Yes. We provide a FREE scheduled courtesy coach transfers to and from Auckland Airport during office hours.

Q. Do you provide drop off or pick up from your hotel in Auckland?

Q. New Zealand Car Rental rates are far below other New Zealand car rental car firms. What sort of rental car will we get?

A. We are owned by one of the largest independent car importers in New Zealand. We keep our overheads low, and are able to provide car hire in New Zealand at highly competitive prices.

Q. New Zealand Car Rentals doesn't ask for advance payments to secure car rental bookings, is our car ready for us when we arrive?

A. Yes. We can take an advance payment if you wish, however we don't insist on it for several reasons:

• Before paying us we want you to see your rental car so you're happy you've made the right choice.
• Regardless of whether you've paid in advance or not, we promise we'll have your booked car ready for you. If for any reason you're unhappy with our product or service you are under absolutely no obligation to hire the vehicle!

Q. Do New Zealand Car Rentals cars have air conditioning and power steering?

A. Yes, most of them do.

Q. Are the rental cars from New Zealand Car Rentals auto or manual?

A. Our fleet of over 1,000 cars has both manual and auto vehicles available. Let us know your preference when you make your booking.

Q. What sort of driving licenses are required in New Zealand?

A. You can legally drive in New Zealand for up to 12 months if you have either a current driver's license from your home country, or an International Driving Permit. All drivers, including overseas visitors, must carry their license or permit when driving in New Zealand. You will only be able to drive the same types of vehicles you are licensed to drive in your home country. Make sure your overseas driver's license is current. If your license is not in English, you should bring an English translation with you or obtain an International Driving Permit. Contact your local automobile club for further details about obtaining a translation or an International Driving Permit.

Q. What are New Zealand's Road Rules?

• In New Zealand, all vehicles drive on the left-hand side of the road.
• When turning left, give way (or yield) to traffic crossing or approaching from your right.
• When the traffic light is red, you must stop.
• There is no left turn rule as in North America.
• Speed limits are strictly enforced by police using radar, speed cameras and un-marked patrol cars. Fines for speeding can be expensive.
• The speed limit on the open road is 100km/h (approx 60mph).
• In built-up areas the speed limit is 50km/h (approx 30 mph).
• Drivers and all passengers must wear seat belts at all times.
